• Internships: Telok Senangin, West-Malaysia, investigating Nectarfermentation of the palm Eugeissona tristis (Feb. to Apr. 2005) and Hitoy Cerere, Costa Rica, studying the sexual behaviour of the poison arrow frog Dendrobates pumilio (Mar. to Apr. 2006)
• Volunteer: Husavík, Iceland, working at the The Husavík Whale Museum on photot-ID and scientific work on humpback whales, blue whales, minke whales and white-striped dolphins
• Scientific Research Assistant (University of Würzburg): Jun. to Aug. 2004 and Jun. to Jul. 2005 (Dep. of Zoology 3) collection of data of the social structure of the eusocial bee (Lassioglossum malachurum) (including open air work and measurement of anatomical parameters); Aug. to Oct. 2005 and Jan. to Feb. 2006 (Dep. of Botany 2) experimental work on the performance and the effects of UV-radiation and on the beetle (Phaedon podoptera exigua) and on different species of Arabidopsis, supply of the breed; Dec. 2005 and Oct. to Dec. 2006 (Dept.
