So far Annika searched herps in hot Senegal, Mareike cuddles frogs along transects in Benin, Laura and Joseph are ready to climb mountains and cross rivers and Franziska has put up the fences again in beautiful Steigerwald!.
The Côte d'Ivoire fraction made a huge step and completed 3 PhD thesis already. Congratulations!
Most of us moved to Berlin by now. The museum is now a Leibniz institute and we are all more than busy with fieldwork or writing.
The soccer teams are competeing for the European crown. Hence emoitions are currently running high in Berlin.
After Prof. MO taking up his position at the Museum of Natural History in Berlin the BIOTA West Amphibian project has moved as well. Johannes and Meike are now employed in Berlin. We see who will follow ;-)

From 6th to 7th of June with have to honour of hosting Dr. Atsushi Ishimatsu from the Institute of East China Sea Research of the Nagasaki University.
Since spring 2006 we have started to carry on a project on the conservation and ecology of the European Adder in Germany started by the AGAR in 1996 [LINK].
Anja just (20.4.06) became a happy and proud mother of cute Lino Maximilian (see pic on the right).
Tillmann is Community Ecologist of the Year 2006! He came out first at the contest of the Conference of the Society for Tropical Ecology held at the end of February in Kaiserslautern.
