Welcome Sristi
07/01/2025We are delighted to have Sristi Chakroborty as a new member in the group.
Sristi comes to us with some experience in the study of mitochondrial biology. Her previous work at CSIR-CCMB (Hyderabad) and Presidency University (Kolkata) has focused on understanding the evolution and function of mitochondrial proteins, with a particular focus on quality control mechanisms.
Sristi will investigate the regulatory processes involved in maintaining proteostasis during mitochondrial import stress using biochemical, proteomic and functional approaches as part of SPP2453. She will investigate mechanisms of translational regulation during acute mitochondrial stress.
