CARE EBRS CONFERENCE
11/18/2019Next Monday afternoon (18th Nov, 13:45-19:00) the CARE (Carbon Reduced Conferences) EBRS CONFERENCE will be broadcasted in our seminar room. Please find its program attached to this email and more information at this link (https://careconferences.org/).
The (real) conference takes place in Munich, but it is going to be video recorded and streamed worldwide. It is the first of its kind, with the goal to support environmental sustainability and to reduce conference traveling.
I registered to host one of the so-called "Twitter Interactive Virtual Hub" in Würzburg at our chair. We will stream the conference in our seminar room and we will be able to "interact" and to ask questions to the speakers in Munich via Twitter (#CAREchrono19).
The virtual hub is meant as an opportunity to share chronobiology also with local non-chronobiologists colleagues (who would not attend chrono-dedicated conferences) and to strengthen local collaborations. In particular, the plenary speaker tends to be appealing to non-chronobiologists also. So if you have colleagues who study metabolism or endocrinology, please reach them out and invite them to register and to join us next Monday.
IMPORTANT! To attend the conference you must register via the following link (https://www.careconferences.org/10-care/58-registration.html). Please register for the "Twitter-interactive virtual hub" (bottom of the page) and select NO for "I volunteer to host a Twitter-interactive ..." (I did this already). The registration is necessary for the organizers to keep track of the total attendance, and for me to know how many people will be there.
During that afternoon we follow the same structure of the conference in Munich, with coffee break (15:15-15:30), refreshment break (17:00-17:30) and networking party (19:15-).
