Christian Wegener Elected President of the German Zoological Society (DZG)

One of the oldest scientific societies in Europe, the German Zoological Society (DZG) promotes the zoological sciences in their entirety.
With over 1,200 members from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, the DZG has provided a central platform for exchange and cooperation among zoological researchers since 1890. Scientific networking, conferences, and the promotion of young researchers are at the heart of its mission. Among other initiatives, the DZG is sponsoring this year’s neurobiology doctoral workshop (NeuroDoWo), which is taking place in Würzburg.
