I am a P.R.I.M.E. Research Fellow funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Marie Curie Program of the European Commission. I am a broadly trained agroecologist who integrates perspectives and methods from the natural and social sciences to investigate the socio-ecological processes that shape agricultural landscapes and the associated consequences for food security, ecosystem function, and biodiversity conservation. My current research investigates smallholders’ response to environmental change through a study of the impacts of coffee leaf rust in a coffee growing landscape in a forest frontier in southern Mexico. I am carrying out this project in collaboration with Prof. Ingolf Steffan-Dewenter at Würzburg University (Germany), Dr. Yann le Polain de Waroux at McGill University (Canada), and Dr. Luis García-Barrios at ECOSUR (Mexico). Before this, I was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Agroecology and Food System Sustainability at the University of Michigan. Find me on ResearchGate or LinkedIn.
