Research

The research interests of the Department of Developmental Biochemistry range from the elucidation of the molecular control of developmental and differentiation processes up to diseases caused by the dysregulation of these mechanisms.

Particular attention is paid to pediatric kidney tumors, such as the nephroblastoma (Wilms tumor), as well as the function of Hey proteins in the development of the cardiovascular System.
