I am currently investigating the evolution of wound care strategies in various species of ants, in order to determine how wound care strategies appeared and what are the factors that affects the development of various wound care strategies in ants.
I am working mostly with species such leafcutter ants and the queenless ant specie Diacamma cf. indicum from Asia. I hope to build a framework that will ultimately allow us to improve our knowledge on wound care behaviour and social immunity strategies in social insects.
