ADAPT: Adaption of Alpine Pollinators in Times of Global Change

https://www.bayklif.de/juniorgruppen/adapt/

ADAPT investigates the response of alpine pollinators to climatic changes using multiple approaches that range from the molecular level up to the community level. We are examinig a natural climatic gradient along the mountain slopes of Berchtesgaden.

Within the project, I'm focusing on the following questions:

  • How did plant and butterfly communities in the national park Berchtesgaden change along elevational gradients over the last 10 years?
  • How are community and species traits of butterflies responding to climatic changes?
  • Is there an impact of pasture management on the response of pollinators and ecosystem functions to climatic changes?
