Exploring Biogeography: Our Team at TIBS 2026 in Aarhus

12.01.2026 |

Part of our team participated in the 12th Biennial Meeting of the International Biogeography Society, held in Aarhus, Denmark.

Together with researchers from all around the world, we gained valuable insights into a wide range of biogeographical research fields and current developments.

In total, six members of our chair were represented, including Christian Hof, postdoctoral researcher Esme Ashe-Jepson, PhD candidate Christian Zehner and three of our Master`s students. They presented their ongoing research in both oral presentations and poster sessions, contributing actively to scientific exchange and discussion.

A highlight was Esme Ashe-Jepson taking home a poster award (DOI: 10.21425/fob.18.164843). Congratulations! A well-deserved credit for her work!

The conference also provided an excellent platform for networking and initiating new collaborations, particularly for our early career researchers. We return with new ideas and inspiration for future projects!

We would like to thank the International Biogeography Society and the University of Aarhus for hosting this meeting and creating a welcoming, constructive and inspiring Atmosphere!
