MultiCrossBEF Project

07.03.2024

The MultiCrossBEF team visited Wernigerode, Sachsen-Anhalt, from the 20th to the 23rd of February, to participate in the 21st annual Biodiversity Exploratories Assembly.

Being their first visit, it served as a great introduction to the BEO for the team's new Ph.D. students, who also participated in the planned Early Career program on the 19th of February and were later joined by their supervisor, Malte Jochum. During the Assembly, the team presented a progress talk on their current project, the MultiCrossBEF project, as well as presented a poster. Towards the end of the Assembly, Ayushi and Rasmus(please turn our names into links to our personal sites) were elected as the new PhD representatives of the BEO. They will help with proposing and organizing excursions and courses for the PhD candidates in the Exploratories, a task they look forward to with great enthusiasm. The team certainly left the assembly much richer in experience, networks, and community feeling and with a firmer plan for their future fieldwork.
